Last call for all bartender extraordinaires! 42 Below is on the hunt for the nation’s brightest bar stars to fly the Aussie flag and compete in the sixth annual 42 Below Cocktail World Cup, set to shake up New Zealand in March 2010.
42 Below is calling all Australian mixologists to submit their entries online by 3rd Nov. From these entries there will be 24 bartenders chosen to attend each heat, taking place in Brisbane (16 November), Sydney (30 November) and Melbourne (7 December), where they will compete for the three places on the Australian team.
This year, the heats will follow the format of the notorious 42 Below ‘Ready Steady Shake’, whereby contestants are presented with a mystery box and challenged to create a unique cocktail using only its contents.
