Opened in October, 24 Moons occupies the old site of the Alley Bar and is a collaboration between four respected and very experienced industry folk: Marcus Motteram, Simon Digby, Boris Von Rechenberg, and Michael Christadoulou (Mr Delicious, Mr Music, Mr Creative and Mr Hospitality respectively). Normally we would list all their relative experience but you’ll have to wait for January’s Bar Profile for that; rest assure that 24 Moons is a meeting of the minds between some serious bar nerds.
Why 24 Moons? We’re told the venue “is here for a good time not a long time. 24 months to be exact…” Well in that case you ought not be tardy in popping along to this cocktail bar complete with a cosy forest setting, a short contemporary list of edibles sized in line with Tapas, but with more of an Asian feel and concise cocktail list (six cracking looking drinks) dispensed by the capable hands of Kane Daniel (ex- Gin Palace).
The 24 Moons folk describe the place as: “Premium with soul… meaning substance and care, in preference to slick pretence or meaningless glam.” Well I, for one, am sold.
