Bundaberg release 5 year old rum to help flooded QLD communities…

Bundaberg have announced a new initiative to help communities affected by the floods in Queensland. They have donated $200,000 to recovery efforts so far and are releasing a five year old rum called the Road to Recovery, with each house affected by the floods being given a bottle. The bottles left over will be sold at a special event when the distillery reopens on March 16 with all proceeds going towards Bundaberg’s flood recovery efforts.

…and release a gun double-barrel rum

Bundaberg’s been banging out some great rums from its new Barrel House, and have seen fit to expand the range again with the new release of Bundaberg Rum Master Distillers’ Double Barrel. Made from selected parcels of aged reserve rums they are aged in old port barrels before being finished in sherry barrels. This double barrel aging process results in a smooth rum with notes of honey, caramel, and spice and is available from March 16.
