The big news out of Sydney today is Merivale’s purchase of Coogee’s Beach Palace Hotel.
An industry source has told Australian Bartender that the Sydney hospitality group owned by Justin Hemmes spent a rumoured $40 million on the purchase.
Merivale also recently announced the purchase of the site on which Trumps Tavern used to sit in Sydney’s CBD.
The Beach Palace Hotel is currently closed for refurbishment, reports the Sydney Morning Herald’s goodfood.com.au.
