Brisbane’s Newstead area has become known as a bit of a craft beer destination: there’s craft breweries along with dedicated craft beer bars like Tipplers Tap. Now. with opening of the Twig & Berry, Newstead drinkers also have a cocktailian reason to be happy.
With a less than obvious entrance, the bar has got Declan Roche (ex-Press Club and Kerbside) on board to run the drinks side of things, and he’s being ably assisted by Will Cowley, a top ten finisher in last year’s Bartender of the Year competition.
So that means that though they’ve got some twenty-odd beers and ciders available, you’ll now be able to get a properly made, higher-proof drink.
