It’s good to see the classic cocktail revival — and the good drinking that goes with it — winging its way to the Gold Coast. It’s not as though the Goldie is devoid of good drinking — Black Coffee Lyrics being one notable example — but it’s always good to see more bars taking the classics seriously.
Like this one. The place certainly looks the part, with its white marble bar top and vintage-style barware; it’s the kind of atmosphere in which you ought to ask them to whip you up a Last Word.
