A little corner of Cuba has come to Sydney’s Green Park Hotel, with the opening of Cantineros. Complete with it’s own entrance, the room is splashed with the iconic colours of Cuba’s faded glory (take a look at the photos here to get a feel for it, or check out their Instagram).

The focus here is on eats and drinks, Cuban-style, and they’ve kept things simple. So in terms of drinks — or bebida if we’re getting authentic about it — you can wrap your lips around a Hemingway Daiquiri, a Mojito or cool down with a Cuba Libre. They’ve also got Cuban beers, which will pair well with the food: their Cubanos (rosat pork loin, ham off the bone, swiss cheese, pickles and yellow mustard, all served in convenient sandwich form) come in two variations, classic or El Jefe, the extra spicy option.

Cantineros is the latest space in Solotel group’s efforts to do something unique with their stable of classic Sydney pubs, and follows on the heels of the recent opening of The Whisky Room at The Clock Hotel.

The bar is open from 5pm  Thursday to Sunday throughout the summer months.
