A taste of the Caribbean in convenient bottle form

Sorel

There’s a great drink in the Caribbean called agua de flor de Jamaica, made from hibiscus flowers and spices — like an iced hibiscus tea. Throw some good rum at it and you’ll cool down quick smart.

That’s the idea behind Sorel, produced by Jack from Brooklyn (that’s the company name) and distributed here by Europa. It takes its name from one of the alternative monikers for hibiscus flowers — known in Australia as rosella, it’s often known as sorrel in the Caribbean (not to be confused with the green herb, sorrel).

Sorel is made from hibiscus flowers, clove, cassia, ginger and nutmeg, and will add a distinctive flavour to your mixing repertoire.
