Perth has welcomed a new rooftop bar from Andy Freeman, called The Sherry. It takes over the top floor of The Flour Factory, the three storey “inner city public house” that Freeman (Luxe Bar, Varnish on King, Darlings Supper Club) added to his suite of venues last year.

As you may have figured from the bar’s name, it’s key focus is sherry. They’ve got a short and sharp list of cocktails put together by bartender Simon Hough, and he’s put the emphasis on sherry: each of the four cocktails and the two share drinks feature sherry. It’s all fino and manzanilla and oloroso goodness, and that’s to be applauded.

They’ve got some appropriately porky snacks to go with the drinks and good times vibes, too: there’s Jamon and Smoked Cheddar Popcornby the cup, The Flour Factory Jerky and Pork Bits and Bobs by the bag.

The rooftop is open from 4pm to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
