Alissa Gabriel of QLD has won the national final of the Bacardi Legacy Global Cocktail Competition with her drink, Boutellier.
The Five Most Promising bartenders gathered in Melbourne this week, with a final presentation before the judges at Melbourne bar El Coco.
The competitors had to impress some highly esteemed judges in the final round. On the panel was last year’s Australian champion, Fred Siggins, Bacardi family member and global brand manager Enrique Comas, Bacardi Master Blender Jose Sanchez Gavito, and renowned local bartender and industry expert Phil Bayly.
Gabriel will now represent Australia when the world comes to Sydney this April for the global final of Bacardi Legacy.
