Hendrick’s is in search of curiously creative bartenders to enter our 4th Annual Hot Gin Punch Tournament, the biggest and most unusual tournament yet!
Entries are now open for this year’s contest which challenges bartenders to create a Hendrick’s hot gin punch to serve in their venue for the month of June. Hendrick’s invites you to engage your creativity and imagination, as well as demonstrate the prowess of your concoction by accompanying your drink with a fantastic tale or story that will transport people to another world.
There is no compulsory video this year.
Tales, urban legends and mythological journeys have been used by storytellers for generations in almost every major culture around the world. They are a great example of how vivid imagination and storytelling merge, often to communicate powerful, complex messages with such apparent simplicity that any soul can understand.

Hendrick’s is giving bartenders a chance to talk about cocktails in a way which has become lost, sharing a modern fairytale to capture their story telling ability and imagination surrounding an original punch recipe.
The 11 finalists will be part of a pursuit into an extraordinary location which will be kept secret until final announcement. Last year, the final was held across four days in Vanuatu so expect some more surprises. In keeping with the theme, finalists will be challenged in a fully immersive journey.
“The Hendrick’s Hot Gin Punch Tournament is an opportunity for us to engage with the trade in an unusual manner, the same way we craft our gin. Once again we’ll reward the finalists with an intriguing and inspiring experience. The final prize is part of a concept no one has explored before. Just thinking about it, it’s kind of surreal”, said Hendrick’s brand Ambassador Sebastien Derbomez.
The ultimate winner of the Hendrick’s Hot Gin Punch Competition will be taken on a journey of a lifetime to… Well, we can’t really say but we can tell you that there were twenty people involved in getting the right – sorry, we can’t say that either – Get a passport!
