We’ve all been there. We’ve had one too many, felt a little exuberant, and messaged someone repeatedly.

Yet very rarely are the drunk texts in question as funny as these ones sent by Brisbane bartender — and all round good sport — Will Cowley.

Here’s the cautionary tale: old mate Will had a couple too many, and wanted a friend, Joe, to drive his drunk arse home.

Joe, whom we don’t know, made the wise move and told Will — whom we do know — that there was no chance.

The texts presented here are a lesson in pushing the point.
