Following off the back of a great Agave Love event in Sydney last year, tequila legend Phil Bayly is bringing Agave Love to Singapore in September.

Taking place on the 4th and 5th of September, Bayly has organised a stellar lineup of speakers and tequila and mezcal, and it’s happening in some of Singapore’s top venues – venues like 28 Hong Kong Street and Vasco. With Singapore just an eight hour flight from the eastern seaboard of Australia (and a mere five hours from Perth), we reckon a few of you might want to know what’s going on.

There’s an impressive cast of speakers lined up: legends like Julio Bermejo, of the seminal Tommy’s Restaurant in San Francisco (and the guy you have to thank for the Tommy’s Margarita, just by the by); Tomas Estes, who brought Café Pacifico, El Nivel and the La Perla Bars in London and Paris to life before launching his own Tequila Ocho; Esteban Morales, of Guadalajara’s temple to mezcal, 400 Conejos, and raicilla brand La Venenosa; Jaime Munoz, of Los Danzantes; Sergio Mendez, of Don Fulano tequila; Jacob Lustig, of Selección ArteNOM Tequila and Mina Mezcal; as well as folks from the Consejo Regulador del Mezcal.

They are some heavy-hitters of the agave world, and if you’ve got the chance make sure you check it out – click here to see the full suite of seminars and speakers.

It could be a great opportunity to check out Singapore’s booming bar scene.
