Sydney Bar Week kicks off this Saturday the 17th, and on Sunday you’ll have your chance to meet the makers of some amazing spirits when the Indie Tasting takes over Frankie’s Pizza By The Slice.
There’s just 50 tickets left to this showcase of independent spirits, and those tickets buy you access to taste from more than 100 independent spirits, some of which have never been seen in Australia before.
You’ll also get to meet the makers themselves, with a number of distillers on hand at Indie Tasting to show you their wares firsthand. This is what is unique about the Indie Tasting — boutique spirits, most often presented by the people who make them.
The guys from Sydney gin-makers, Poor Toms, will be there; you can catch Brendan Carter of Applewood Distillery talking about his juice, too; we’ve got some special visitors heading in from South Carolina, USA, who’ll be on hand to tell you their own story about their distilling journey; and you’ll be able to catch bartender-turned-distiller Sebastian Reaburn presenting his fresh-off-the-stills Artemis Gin. That’s just a small handful of the names taking over Frankie’s for one afternoon on Sunday.
There’s also a series of short, intimate masterclasses taking place in the Frankie’s Fun Room where you’ll dive deep into a brand from a close up perspective, with entry to these free with an Indie Tasting ticket.
