Eau de Vie Sydney wins a trip to Glasgow

Earlier this year the Auchentoshan Distilled Different campaign invited bar teams across Australia to create their most unique cocktail creation using the newly launched product, Auchentoshan American Oak. Entries were narrowed down to 12 bar teams who were then paired up with an up and coming Australian photographer with each partaking in fully styled photoshoots of their bar team. All vying for the ultimate prize: a trip for the winning bar team to Glasgow to visit the Auchentoshan Distillery.

The 12 Finalist Bar Teams were: Della Hyde (NSW), Donny’s Bar (NSW), Stitch Bar (NSW), Doris and Beryl’s Bridge Club and Tea House (NSW), Ramblin’ Rascal Tavern (NSW), Eau de Vie Sydney (NSW), Kittyhawk (NSW), Highlander Bar (VIC), 1806 (VIC), The Gresham (QLD), Mr Goodbar (SA), Dominion League (WA).

Each team was then judged again by industry trade media professionals: Ashley Pini (Publisher Drinks Trade Magazine & Managing Director of Hip Media), Sam Bygrave (Editor Australian Bartender Magazine) and Shannon Connellan (Edition Concrete Playground).

Images were judged on the subject’s association with the Auchentoshan Distilled Different campaign, how the message conveyed each bar team’s personality, their bespoke cocktail and the identity of the unique single malt whisky, Auchentoshan. Also taken into consideration was originality, and overall impact.

During the exhibition guests were also invited to vote for their favourite photograph. The People’s Choice Award was won by Ramblin’ Rascal Tavern and received an Auchentoshan prize pack for their team.

Eau de Vie Sydney will soon be jetsetting across to Glasgow as the national prize winners.

Congratulations to all teams that took part.
