If you’re thinking about New York-style steakhouses, you’re probably thinking a well-crafted classic cocktail is in order, too. That’s what’s going here at Melbourne bar The Library, which opened recently in inside The Albert. The building houses Fratelli Fresh, as well as the Melbourne outpost of Urban Purveyor Group’s The Cut Steakhouse, and now, UPG have opened The Library Bar.
The Library serves as The Cut’s sister bar, and features plush banquettes, a good whack of marble and the right kind of mood when you want to retire with a strong Old Fashioned in hand. They’re employing sauces from the steakhouse in their take on a Bloody Mary, and you’d pleased with kicking back with a Rob Roy in hand.
