TOP 8 FINALISTS SELECTED TO PROGRESS TO SEMI-FINAL

The Top 8 bartenders have been selected to progress to the National Semi-Final in the 2016/2017 BACARDÍ Legacy Global Cocktail Competition in Australia.

BACARDÍ Brand Ambassador, Loy Catada embarked upon a whirlwind tour to judge the Top 50 entries hailing from 6 states. This was the opportunity for the bartenders to make and present their Legacy cocktail for the tasting judging panel consisting of Catada, past Legacy legends and fellow BACARDÍ Brand Ambassadors.

The competitors were up for the challenge being judged against a set criteria including taste, aroma, innovation and inspiration, all while working against the clock to prepare and present in less than 10 minutes.

Catada was captivated with the professionalism with which the competitors took to the bar saying, “They were well rehearsed, the drinks were positively delicious, and their preparation and raw passion for the competition was very exciting for us.”
