Perth hospitality group, The Ark Group, will open Scarborough bar The Galway Hooker this November, says group bar manager James Connolly.

Experienced Perth bartender James Connolly has moved on from his role at Perth’s Rockpool Bar & Grill, to open a new bar called Enrique’s. ”It’s a Spanish-themed pop-up bar in Mount Lawley,” said Connolly. “And like the bars of Barcelona we will be making the gin and tonic king,” he said.
Q: What do you drink to impress a lady?
A: I’m not allowed to impress ladies anymore.
Another West Australian venue that’s a welcome addition to the Aussie bar landscape is El Publico, and it is so new the bar floor probably isn’t even dirty yet. By all accounts however, they are serving up some sensational treats and welcoming in the locals.
