Sebastian Says… it’s good to sample Middleton Irish Whiskey

I was lucky to enjoy an impromptu vertical tasting of Middleton Irish Whiskey the other week and I thought I’d jot down a few words. We have two vintages of this glorious drop at 1806, the 2004 and the 2006. One of our regulars who we hadn’t seen for a while popped in early one evening with a bottle of the newly released 2007 that he had tracked down in the US. So we figured, hey, lets compare them all.

Melbourne Rum Club

On Monday, 2 March, over 75 of the Melbourne bartending elite attended the city’s largest rum club to date to witness the introduction of Ron Zacapa to Australia as the newest addition to Diageo’s Reserve Brands (set to launch to the trade on April 1)
