On Monday August 3, The Melbourne Rum Club gathered at Golden Monkey for a session hosted by Inner Circle Rum. A total of 35 people attended the session, including a strong contingent of Melbourne’s leading bartenders. Marking a Rum Club first, Inner Circle’s distillery manager John Mulraney provided 2 bottles of sample stock that he had bottled especially for the Melbourne Rum Club. The sample was unfiltered, 40% ABV and is lighter in colour. Attendees were asked to sample the product and provide direct feedback which will be passed directly to Inner Circle’s master blenders for consideration. As well as the tasting, Damian also gave the attendees an informative history about the Inner Circle brand and its production.
