The Richmond Club Hotel certainly isn’t a new joint, but it is a pleasure to announce that they re-opened in September following a fire back in November 2008 which caused extensive damage to the Hotel. The latest look is courtesy of Techne Architects who you may have seen profiled in October’s Bartender. The new look has tried to maintain many of the materials and details of the original fitout so that patrons will feel a sense of familiarity and be reminded of the old pub before then becoming aware of the new layers of the design. Renovations aren’t over yet, however, as plans are afoot for a redevelopment of the upstairs area. Welcome back!
