Have you finished ‘Feb-Fasting’? Can’t stand the thought of a ‘Dry July’? Does the suggestion of an ‘Ocsober’ make you a little thirsty? Then indulge in a Parched March!
The Sun Herald‘s S columnist, Amy Cooper, came up with a wicked plan for a month-long bar hop for charity which culminated in style on Wednesday 31 March at Sydney’s Piano Room.
Amy was joined on her soused adventure around Sydney’s diverse bar scene by Bartender magazine editor – Simon McGoram.
The duo raised money well over $2000 for Greyhound Rescue and DCH Animal Adoptions including a generous donation of $50 per bar from Bartender magazine founder and publisher David Spanton.
So Sydney’s beautiful people and bar trade alike, gathered for an evening of cocktails, canapés, charity and fine company all in the spirit of celebration – a toast to Sydney’s fine bar scene and the joy of having a responsible tipple.
