The latest home grown product that will soon be hitting the shelves of bars around Australia is the premium 666 Pure Tasmanian Vodka.

The Australian launch is set for May 13 at Melbourne’s Spice Market – an event that is open to all to come try the vodka between 6 and 8pm. Dean Lucas, President/CEO of Pure Distillery Company which produces 666 Pure Tasmanian Vodka, also owns and operates several of Melbourne’s most iconic restaurants, bars and cafes, including Spice Market and MoMo. He has been a fixture in Australia’s hospitality industry for over 20 years.

Lucas’ vodka is the first Australian vodka to be awarded a Gold Medal in the prestigious World Spirits Competition in San Francisco.

666 Pure Tasmanian Vodka beat out an international field of 115 vodkas to take the coveted medal. This month, 666 Pure Tasmanian Vodka had its global launch in Los Angeles with the product now being stocked in some of  L.A.’s leading bars, clubs and restaurants, including Hyde, MI6, Katsuya and IVX.

Lucas says: “It is fantastic that a 100 percent Australian owned and produced vodka has been recognised as one of the best in the world.”

666 Pure Tasmanian Vodka is made from using the world’s purest rain water from Tasmania’s Cape Grim and distilling Tasmanian barley in a triple copper pot distillation process

“I always believed that if Australia can produce some of the best wines and beers in the world, then why not a vodka,” comments Lucas. “After three years in development it is gratifying to see our hard work rewarded. We are off to a great start.”
