Sydney Bartender Tragically Dies in Motorcycle Accident

Pierre Fajloun - bartender, son, brother, friend to many tragically passed away Tuesday evening.

Australia’s bar community is in turmoil after the news that Pierre Fajloun, bar manager of Ivy‘s Level 6 died in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday evening.

Pierre was much loved by the bartending community and was renowned for his incredibly warm hospitality and enthusiasm behind the bar. Apart from his fine work with Sydney’s Merivale group Pierre was also a trainer for Diageo’s Alchemy program,  the winner of several bartending accolades and had been featured numerous times in bar trade titles including Bartender magazine and 4bars.com.au

A memorial service is being held this coming Saturday 9 October, 9am at  St Nicholas Antioch Orthodox Church, 11 Henry Street, Punchbowl, New South Wales.

Pierre was just 26 years of age.

  1. This was such a shock to hear as I only just saw Pierre two weeks ago at Sydney Barshow. His reputation was such that even in little Adelaide we had heard of his bartending skills. It’s sad to have such a bright and gifted person, let alone a talented bartender taken away from us. My deepest sympathies go out to Pierre’s family, friends and workmates

  4. He Was My Cousin. Everyday without you is so hard cuz. Mixing and making new drink all day long. simply magical!. now that your gone whos gunna do that for us. no one was up to your standard in anything. yu were just simply amazing. why do you have to leave. I LOVE YOU CUZ!
