This might be just the place to have a boys night in, however, there is enough finesse and class at the Cut Bar & Grill that it would be a great place to entertain a lady as well. Set inside a heritage cellar in the middle of The Rocks this new offering, from the team behind the recently hatted Sake Restaurant, is inspired by New York’s ‘super-chic steak restaurants’. “The Cut is all about quality produce and our menu offers something for everyone,” said Head Chef James Privett. Former Longrain bartender, Andrew Thomas, set up the drinks list using his ‘comprehensive knowledge of spirits and a refined palate to create a sophisticated drinks menu.
“We’ve added new life to several old cocktails,” Thomas explained. “The clean, bold flavours in the dishes inspired us to create a drinks selection to match.” Once you’ve enjoyed all on offer – and there is quite a bit – head upstairs to Sake and let the team of bartenders take care of your after dinner drink needs. With Thomas behind the drinks here as well there is plenty to choose from, although I recommend you let the team suggest some sake to finish off your evening.
