North Sydney is stepping up the offerings with its latest bar installation; The Treehouse.
“The Treehouse aims to bring a new sense of wining and dining in North Sydney, says Bec Baker. “There is a real emphasis on service here with an awesome atmosphere to go along with it. From fresh herbs growing in the garden, to baskets of lemons and knick-knacks, our bar aims to not only offer first class food and drinks but also bring back something North Sydneysiders (and those who make the journey over there) can start to get excited about.”
There’s a couple of ‘alternate’ white wines to get excited about as they have them by the glass – praise the lord; Fiano from McLaren Vale, and Viognier from Orange, and while the cocktail list is short and sweet they could probably offer a few variations if you ask but it’s more of a place to come and relax and unwind than settle in for a long night of mixed drinks.
The share plates are good for a little bit of picking, Coca-Cola pork riblets with chimmichurri or smoked ocean trout nicoise salad. There are more substantial meals too like grilled spring lamb, oven roasted king salmon or some butterflied flame grilled chicken – a good mix for a few beers. Baker sees the Treehouse as a place to unwind, relax and escape; “From the quirky umbrellas, gnomes, cow skin bar seats and delicious cocktails to the handmade food and delicious share plates we are really excited to bring some life back into North Sydney.”
“It isn’t just the quality food and cocktails,” Baker states, “it’s about pleasing all five senses.” With the sharp rise in the business district continuing to grow, it will only encourage more and more bar operators to stake their claim on the northern shoreline, looks like the Treehouse has taken a good step.
