Got a spare $5,500 and a taste for rum?

Appleton 50 yo 1

Get a load of this 50 year old rum from Appleton Estate

This is one rum you might not use for laybacks. Considered by some as the oldest rum in the world currently on sale, this very rare rum, created to mark 50 years of Jamaican independence, is coming to Australia — but there will be just 15 bottles available.

As with all rums from Appleton Estate, the age statement guarantees that the youngest rums in the blend will be 50 years old.

It doesn’t come in at a cheap price point either, as you might expect with such old and rare rum. Landing at $5,500 a bottle, the Appleton Estate 50 Year Old Jamaica Independence Reserve is also probably one of the most expensive rums on sale right now!
