There’s a newish drinks website that has been popping up in our Twitter stream lately, and we reckon you should take a look. Billed as an online magazine that covers wine, spirits and cocktails, PUNCH (punchdrink.com) is put together by editor in chief Talia Baiocchi and deputy editor Leslie Pariseau.
We like it because they’ve got great photography and interesting, long reads from top writers (like this piece on tiki drinks from Robert Simonson). You’ll also find recipes of classic drinks and an A to Z reference of drinks terms.
They’ve produced a few snappy videos with cocktail world heavyweights like Dale DeGroff, David Wondrich and Toby Cecchini (watch this one, if for no other reason than to Watch Dale DeGroff shimmy in a tuxedo), and if you’ve never heard of port tonging — we can tell you it involves a red hot poker — well, now you have.
