Arthur Laundy & Fraser Short pick up 2 new pubs

Arthur Laundy, in partnership with Fraser Short, has bought two iconic Sydney hotels.

Laundy and Short have bought Northies Hotel in Cronulla, and the Mona Vale Hotel on Sydney’s Northern Beaches for an undisclosed amount, Short said.

He said that the newest purchases would “strengthen our stable of iconic Sydney venues.”

Their partnership has proven to be a successful formula, with trade at their first venture together, the Watsons Bay Hotel, soaring since they took it over in 2013. Their next venue together, Daniel San Restaurant & Bar and Rooftop Dojo, at the Novotel Manly Pacific, is due to open in Manly soon, Short said.

“Manly is good, it will open on time,” he said. “It’ll open at the beginning of October.”
