Sydney has been fortunate to see a revival in the hotel bar drinking stakes of late: Grain opened at the Four Seasons a couple of years back, and of the recent openings, Stillery at the Intercontinental in Double Bay has been winning drinkers’ dollars with their focus on gin from right around the world.
Now, at Pier One in Sydney’s Walsh Bay, comes The Gantry Restaurant & Bar.
The island bar takes pride of place in the lobby of the hotel, and they’ve got Ben Taouss, who has seen time at Pocket, Stitch, and Assembly, to head up the bar program, so expect the drinks to be good.
