Here’s a way that you can take your bartending chops and put them to use for a good cause.
The U.G.L.Y Bartender of the Year campaign returns for its seventh year this year, and the initiative is all about raising money for the Leukaemia Foundation’s good work.
They’ve raised some six million dollars over their last six years, and you can do your bit by registering to take part. Once registered, they’ll give you a kit that includes all the point of sale material you’ll need to raise awareness in your venues.
They’ve got prizes on offer for the venues raising money (from bar kits to JB HiFi vouchers and more) and the top fundraisers in each state will pick up a $3,000 travel voucher and a choice of a Hoshizaki ice machine or Lancer Beverage Systems gear up to the value of $7,500.
