A Modern Cocktail twist

Here’s an old drink that offers up a new way to drink whisky; we’ve adapted it to drop the 7.5ml of rum which it usually calls for, to add a hit of saffron to the drink by way of the Miasa Saffron Liqueur.

Modern Cocktail

  • 45 ml The Balvenie 12 Year Old DoubleWood
  • 7.5 ml Miasa Saffron Liqueur
  • 7.5 ml pastis
  • 7.5 ml lemon juice
  • 1 dash orange bitters
  • Cherry (to garnish)
  1. Shake all ingredients with and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
  2. Garnish with the cherry.
