Here’s an old drink that offers up a new way to drink whisky; we’ve adapted it to drop the 7.5ml of rum which it usually calls for, to add a hit of saffron to the drink by way of the Miasa Saffron Liqueur.
Modern Cocktail
- 45 ml The Balvenie 12 Year Old DoubleWood
- 7.5 ml Miasa Saffron Liqueur
- 7.5 ml pastis
- 7.5 ml lemon juice
- 1 dash orange bitters
- Cherry (to garnish)
- Shake all ingredients with and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Garnish with the cherry.
