Here’s the winning drink from the Apprentice category of The Perfect Blend 2018 from Tim Pope.
Shingetsu
- 50 ml Chita Whisky
- 7.5 ml Bowmore 12 YO
- 10 ml lemongrass and ginger syrup
- 10 ml With friends Sweet vermouth
- 7.5 ml dry vermouth
- 7.5 ml lemon juice
- 2 drops homemade orange bitters
- 3 drops homemade cardamom bitters
- Stir down all ingredients with ice in a mixing glass.
- Strain into a chilled Nick and Nora glass, and garnish with orange and ginger praline.
