With bars opening every other week, Sydney is one of the toughest cities in which a bar can operate. So it’s always a welcome thing to hear about a bar celebrating its 5th birthday, which is precisely what The Lobo Plantation will do this Saturday 23 June.
To celebrate, the two-time winner of Rum Bar of the Year at the Bartender Magazine Australian Bar Awards is bringing back some of their favourite cocktails from the last five years.
Starting from today, they’re running a special cocktail list all week and it will feature 10 cocktails that they reckon have defined The Lobo Plantation over the years — drinks like The Wraynbu recipe we’ve got for you below.
They’ve created a small cocktail passport so you can mark off what you’ve been drinking this week (with prizes for drinking the menu), and $1 from every cocktail sold this week will go to the Starlight Foundation, so you know you can have a drink and do some good at the same time (good on you, sport).
The week will culminate in a big birthday bash on the Saturday night, and if you’ve ever been to a Lobo Plantation birthday party before, you know this will be one heck of an evening.
