Australian Bartender magazine’s Bartender of the Year sponsored by BACARDÍ & De Kuyper is the toughest test of bartending ability going around. The big exam takes place at 10am at NOLA Smokehouse & Bar down by the water at Barangaroo on Monday 17 September during Sydney Bar Week. That’s next week!
And this year, if you’re sitting the exam you’ll get to discuss how you went with your peers over Daiquiris courtesy of BACARDÍ, and you’ll also have the rare opportunity to hear from Jacob Briars and to pick his brain before we announce the Top 16 — which, if you ask us, is worth the price of sitting the exam alone anyway.
Here’s the big prize for the winner: a trip to hit up Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans, as well as bragging rights for joining one of the most exclusive, esteemed groups in the bartending scene: the Bartenders of the Year.
And this year, the winner of the Bartender of the Year sponsored by BACARDÍ & De Kuyper will also win a wildcard entry into the BACARDÍ Legacy Australian final.
