Take a look at the new Observatory Bar at The Langham

We’ve noticed more love going into hotel bars of late, and rightly so; Australia has for too long suffered from the kind of one size fits all approach when it comes to hotel bars.

The Observatory Bar bar is the new one at Sydney’s The Langham, and they’re not taking a cookie-cutter approach.

Bar manager David Green has been involved in some of the more high-profile hotel bar launches in this city of late, counting the Ovolo’s Alibi and the Zephyr Bar at the Hyatt Regency as his most recent stops.

The drinks here are ambitious, guided and inspired by the legacy of stargazing at the nearby Observatory Hill, and you won’t want to visit and not jump on their Green Ant Martini (Green Ant Gin, Salt Bush, lemon myrtle aromatics, green ants). Plus, how many bars get to namecheck Galileo on their cocktail list? They do here, for their signature serve the Star Gazer (gin, cold pressed pineapple juice, mint, yuzu tonic).
