Chris Hemsworth has joined Archie Rose Distilling Co. as co-owner alongside founder Will Edwards, as the Sydney distillery prepares to enter the US market for the first time.
The move will see Archie Rose launch its Australian whisky into the US in late 2026, while three new whiskies co-created with Hemsworth will also roll out across Asia and New Zealand later this year. The UK and Europe will follow in 2027.
Hemsworth, a long-time fan of the brand, said Archie Rose’s focus on Australian-grown ingredients was a major drawcard.
“I’ve been a fan of Archie Rose for a long time,” said Hemsworth. “Wherever I am in the world, tasting an Archie Rose whisky immediately transports me right back home, to that feeling of sitting around a campfire in the Australian bush with my mates.”
Founded by Edwards in 2014, Archie Rose produces its spirits at its Botany distillery, with its whiskies made exclusively from Australian-grown malts, including rye and barley varieties grown specifically for the distillery.
“Our approach has always been about championing local ingredients to create spirits that taste truly Australian,” said Edwards.
“Having Chris join the business as a co-owner allows us to bring that ambition to the world.”
Archie Rose has collected more than 450 awards since launching and became B Corp Certified in June 2026.
Hemsworth’s arrival comes as the distillery enters its biggest period of international expansion to date, beginning with the US launch and three collaborative whiskies later this year.
