Fresh off its Tequila Bar of the Year win, Cantina OK! launches Potion

Fresh off taking out Tequila Bar of the Year at the 2026 Australian Bar Awards, Sydney’s Cantina OK! has launched a new cocktail menu built around the idea that a drink can change a mood, trigger a memory or mark a moment.

Called Potion, the new menu is available now at the Council Place tequila and mezcal bar, with three new cocktails joining Cantina OK!’s house classics.

At the centre of the menu are Keepsake OK!, Shindig OK! and Redwing OK!, each taking a different approach to tequila and the role a cocktail can play.

Keepsake OK! combines tequila, watermelon, crema, salted cucumber and basil seed. Light and tangy, the drink has a gentle lactic character reminiscent of Calpis, with watermelon bringing a bright, summery edge and basil seed adding texture.

Shindig OK! leans towards celebration, mixing tequila, coconut, cherry and Prosecco. Coconut sorbet brings a soft, creamy texture against the sparkling wine, while its foamy top takes inspiration from the shape of a new moon.

The third drink, Redwing OK!, moves into darker territory with tequila, mezcal and rum alongside lime, macadamia and amari. Inspired by the classic combination of strong spirits and bitter digestifs after dinner, the drink brings smoke, spice and richness together in an almost tiki-style serve.

MUCHO Group Creative Director Jeremy Blackmore said the menu looks at cocktails as a kind of everyday alchemy.

“Potion is our new menu dedicated to the everyday magic waiting at the bottom of a glass,” said Blackmore. “Cocktails have always been a gentle alchemy – a cure to lift your spirits, a portal to a cherished memory, or the spark that sets a celebration in motion.”

“We capture these feelings with a lineup of three special tasty drinks. Each colourful, layered and wildly delicious.”

The new release follows another big year for the tiny Sydney bar, which was named Tequila Bar of the Year at the 2026 Australian Bar Awards.

Cantina OK! has built its reputation around hard-to-find agave spirits, hand-shaved ice, freshly pressed lime and its now well-known Margarita OK!, with the bar previously recognised among the World’s 50 Best Bars.
