Never Never bested a bevy of emerging and established brands, including one of the world’s most popular gins, Tanqueray No. Ten, representative for the United Kingdom. Never Never’s Juniper Freak Gin was also awarded Australia’s Best Navy Gin in previous rounds.
“Proof & Company were a very natural fit from the beginning,” says Baxter. “Their focus on bold, quality spirits and understanding of the on-premise aligns with ours, and we’ve known key Proof team members like Jason Williams and Charlie Ainsbury for years, so there’s a deep understanding of our brand.”
Earlier in the year Michael Chiem visited the distillery to oversee the creation of the various distillates required with Lead Distiller Tim Boast. These were then blended together remotely by the Never Never and PS40 teams.
The Never Never Distilling Co. was formed after three friends decided to join together, pool their cash and collective experiences, and buy a still. Having spent my entire adult life working in or around bars, I wanted to create something that celebrated what bartenders like to drink.
