Mr Percival’s is part of the recently developed Howard Smith Wharves precinct, sitting underneath the Story Bridge on the mighty brown snake that is the Brisbane River.

The decor is all throwback kitsch — with pastels and the kind of green you could only find at the end of the 70s decking the floors.
The bar side of things is headed up by Matthew Portillo (ex-Brooklyn Standard), and he’s overseeing a cocktail list that offers up proper afternoon drinking options: there are, for example, no fewer than six Spritz options to pick from, and there’s a couple of large format cocktails to share — we’d opt for the Pimm’s (Pimms No.1, Tanqueray, Punt E Mes, ginger syrup, lemon, berries, mint, and soda), take a seat, and gaze longingly over the river.

Take a look at the gallery above for more, and check them out at 5 Boundary St, Brisbane.
