Ben Taouss (ex-Pocket and Stitch Sydney) is onboard to head up Assembly – a collaborative style bar within the multi-million dollar Regents Place development on Kent street.
The venue is set to open in October this year and will host customers in celebrated style, offering a range of choices tailored to suit the mix of clientele that they’re predicting. While the site was still under-going final conception and construction when interviewed, Taouss picked cocktails and wines as a frontrunner for the menu.
He also offered the possibility of a wine ‘bottle-keep’; “So that people can come and purchase a bottle during lunch, and then know that it’ll still be here if they want for later on”. The food will be lighter and accessible, with a range of tapas style dishes most likely – olives, cold meats and other offerings that make the choice to grab a bite straight forward.
There will be inside and ‘outside’ style seating within the venue, and Taouss also highlighted the collaborative nature of the venue which will allow a mix of food to be served from the other Regents Place venues.
