Hendrick’s is in search of curiously creative bartenders to enter our 3rd Annual Hot Gin Punch Tournament, the biggest and most unusual tournament yet!
Entries are now open for this year’s contest which challenges bartenders to create a Hendrick’s punch to serve in their venue for the month of June. This year bar teams will be challenged with bringing to life the ritual of creating and sharing their punches.
Last year Hendrick’s expanded the competition by increasing the number of participants, from just 40 in the first year to around 80 in 2013. This year they’re taking it to the next level and opening the tournament up to any venue that is up for getting creative with Hendrick’s!
“The Hendrick’s Hot Gin Punch Tournament was a chance for us to engage with the trade in an unusual manner, the same way we craft our gin. I wanted to reward the finalists with an intriguing and inspiring experience, not only focusing on the final prize,” said Hendrick’s brand ambassador Sebastien Derbomez.
The 11 bar team finalists will be part of a pursuit into the extraordinary islands of Vanuatu held across four days in early August. In keeping with the theme finalists will be challenged within a culture that is fully immersed in such rituals.
The ultimate winner of the Hendrick’s Hot Gin Punch Competition will travel to the Hendrick’s Distillery in Scotland as well as London to experience London Cocktail Week in 2014.
