Death & Co is going international, marking its first venture into the Australian market with new venues planned for Melbourne CBD and Brisbane, opening late 2025.
In partnership with Australian Venue Co – the expansion marks the fifth and sixth locations for Death & Co, which currently operates internationally recognised bars in New York City, Los Angeles, Denver and Washington DC.
Since opening its flagship bar in NYC in 2006, Death & Co has shaped global cocktail culture, becoming synonymous with creativity, and boundary-pushing drinks. It has taken home top industry honours including America’s Best Cocktail Bar and World’s Best Cocktail Menu at the Tales of the Cocktail convention.
Recruitment is now underway for Venue Managers and Bar Managers to lead the Australian operations, with a two-week training program in the US on offer for successful candidates. The journey includes an induction in NYC, service-based training in Denver, and a final stop in Los Angeles, before returning to Australia to launch the new sites.
