The 2018 Negroni Week will kick-off in just a few days and bartenders all around Australia are getting ready to celebrate the iconic Negroni cocktail and raise a glass for a good cause. 250 venues have already registered to support a charity of their choice by donating a portion of their Negroni sales between the 4th and 10th of June.
That’s right folks — time is running out to have your say in the 18th annual Bartender Magazine Australian Bar Awards. Voting closes in two weeks, at midnight on Thursday 31 May.
The Indie Spirits Tasting events have built up a reputation for showcasing new Aussie brands but there are equally as many hard-to-find international products on show. You will find boutique brands from around the world with every spirit category covered.
This month, Bombay Sapphire Premium London Dry Gin is set to launch The Bombay Sapphire x MCA Pop-Up Bar on the Museum’s rooftop Sculpture Terrace, immersing guests in a multi-sensory experience of light and projections during Vivid Sydney (25 May-16 June).
From the 4th to the 10th of June, bars and restaurants across Australia are invited to participate in this event and donate a portion of their Negroni sales to a charity of their choice.
Indie Spirits Tasting Brisbane is back for its third year at Lefty’s Old Time Music Hall on Sunday, 27 May from 1pm to 4pm. The event will feature over 30 exhibitors showcasing more than 100 craft spirits, with master distillers on hand and free seminars going deep into the world of independent spirits.
The Indie Spirits Tasting Brisbane seminar line-up covers some of the latest bar and spirit trends in the country right now. Experts will join Editor of Australian Bartender magazine, Sam Bygrave for three short and sharp sessions in the front bar.
Nominations for the 12th annual Spirited Awards held at Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans, are now open.
The Indie Spirits Tasting Brisbane marks the largest ever showcase of Australian craft spirits under one roof. There are a whopping 29 brands by Aussie distilleries who will have their wares on show from all corners of the country.
