Maybe Sammy is rolling out the red carpet with a brand-new cocktail menu that takes its inspiration from the screen. Twelve drinks, each inspired by an iconic film or television moment that defined an era, have been reimagined behind the bar and given that unmistakable Maybe Sammy signature.
In true Maybe fashion, every cocktail comes with its own custom trailer – shot across Sydney over several months, written, directed, styled, and even starred in by the team themselves. From a bubble-gun western standoff to a wonka-style press conference, the clips reimagine cult scenes with a cocktail-led twist. Patrons can scan a QR code in-venue to watch or catch them rolling out online.
The drinks themselves read like a reel of classics, including, A Bug’s Life, a citrus-and-mango highball with Glenfiddich 14, Peaky Blinders hiding a punch with Benriach 10, sherry, mead, and green tea soda. The David Attenborough Martini Series offers three martinis, Ocean, Forest and Desert. And the reel keeps rolling – from The Great Gatsby to Goodfellas, Pirates of the Caribbean to The Big Lebowski, The Shining and Ocean’s 11 – each drink a take of its own.
With the venue only releasing one cocktail menu a year, Maybe Sammy has turned each unveiling into an event of its own, a tradition that reflects the bar’s philosophy, creating award winning cocktails that come with a side of flair.
