Otis is a small, owner-operated, suburban bar with a big heart. The owners, Conor O’Brien (ex-Baxter Inn) and Dan Teh (ex-Butter) took over an existing bar site and kept it trading to win over the locals and learn what they wanted from the site.

Bar Bellamy is the first foray into venue ownership from partners in life and business, Oska and Dani Whitehart. The name comes from the French ‘bel ami’, meaning good or dear friend, and I have no doubt this bar and its staff will become that to the whole neighbourhood, and those who come from further afield.
The 45 self-serve drink taps include a curated list of craft beers, natural wines, house-made cocktails and also some non-alcoholic options. Guests simply need to grab a Buddy’s venue card and pre-load their desired amount to allow them to indulge in the self-serve beverage wall.
Myrtle is led by Chris Smith and Kirsty McAteer, who have relocated from South Australia after a two-year exploration of short-travelled produce and wine. They believe Australia’s small hands-on artisanal producers deserve to be showcased.

Led by the team that runs Sydney’s iconic Lansdowne Hotel, The Shaking Hand, known by locals as Shakes, is set to be Canberra’s next great live music establishment, taking over the Akuna Street basement site that housed Transit Bar until 2020.
What do you get when you take a couple of boys from the big smoke and send them down the coast to the Mornington Peninsula? A great combination of warm and friendly hospitality, an impressive range of beers and whiskey, classic American bar food, and toe-tappin’ country tunes from the jukebox.
