The Top 10 for the Bartender Magazine Most Influential List was announced last night at a sensational celebration held at one of Sydney’s newest and trendiest venues – The Norfolk Hotel in Surry Hills. The pub was packed out with a huge range of industry personalities for the highly anticipated announcement.

The Bartender magazine Top 50 most influential bar industry personalities have been named, and the Top 10 is set to be announced at another bumper celebration, this year to be held at one of Sydney’s trendiest new venues, The Norfolk Hotel, Monday April 11, from 6:30pm.

With such a fantastic response to the voting for Bartender magazine’s Most Influential List it has certainly shown that Australia’s bartending fraternity is proud to get behind the people they think are doing a great job.

With more than 650 votes from trade professionals the results have revealed a good mix of bartenders, operators, brand managers and trainers, among others. Beginning in 2009 and running every second year this wonderful industry focused initiative really rewards those people who help make the bartending and hospitality industry a great place to be.

The Most Influential List Party and Top 10 Announcement

To celebrate the release of the 2011 Bartender Magazine Most Influential List (see the March issue of Bartender magazine out later this week) we’ve decided that it’s high time we threw an industry shindig. Set for Monday 11 April, the do will celebrate our Top 50 industry heroes as well as give us the opportunity to announce the Top 10 most influential personalities for 2011 as voted for by you.

Bartender Magazine’s Most Influential List

The voting for the Bartender Magazine’s Top 50 Most Influential List has just wrapped up. The nominated Top 50 for 2011 will be released in Bartender’s upcoming March edition. The inaugural Most Influential List event took off in 2009 with Vernon Chalker (Gin Palace and Madame Brussels, Melbourne) taking out the top spot. “It was a great honour to win,” said Chalker recently, “the greatest form of flattery is if others look to my work for inspiration.”
