The voting for the Bartender Magazine’s Top 50 Most Influential List has just wrapped up. The nominated Top 50 for 2011 will be released in Bartender‘s upcoming March edition. The inaugural Most Influential List event took off in 2009 with Vernon Chalker (Gin Palace and Madame Brussels, Melbourne) taking out the top spot. “It was a great honour to win,” said Chalker recently, “the greatest form of flattery is if others look to my work for inspiration.”
For the past month the 4bars website has received a deluge of votes from the Australia bar industry, and 2011 looks set to produce another great line up. Once the Top 50 for 2011 is announced in March, they will be whittled down to the final Top 10 in April at another sensational event set to be held at Sydney’s new Norfolk Hotel, on Cleveland Street, in Surry Hills.
