Sydney’s North Shore is about to reveal an ambient new listening lounge, set to open 31 July in Crows Nest – Loom Lounge was formed in collaboration with Li’l Darlin and Sydney entertainment collective Sultry & Sample.
Built as an intimate space for live music and late-night hospitality, Loom Lounge will run Thursday to Sunday with a rotating line-up of DJs and musicians curated by Sultry & Sample. The focus is on atmosphere, with music forming a core part of the experience.
Cocktails will be familiar classics with twists, such as an Aperol Margarita, Pinot Noir Negroni, Elderflower Gin and Tonic and Espresso Fizz.
The menu centres on share plates, with snacks including guacamole and chips, marinated stuffed olives and truffle fries, while small plates feature salt and pepper calamari, arancini, chicken tacos and Peking duck pancakes. Pizzettas are also on offer with options like Margherita, chorizo, deluxe and truffle and cheese.
The interior, designed by Obi Kyei, features green velvet seating, moody lighting and a patchwork textile installation made from salvaged offcuts. The name Loom reflects the idea of weaving together music, people, and energy.
Loom Lounge combines Li’l Darlin’s hospitality experience with Sultry & Sample’s expertise in music programming, creating a venue where sound is at the forefront rather than a backdrop.
Both walk-ins and group bookings will be accepted.
