The team at The Speakeasy Group is known for their love of whisky, and their new Sydney bar Mjølner will be no exception when it opens next month on Cleveland Street, Redfern.
They say that three is a trend, right? Well then there’s definitely a street—hip hop thing happening in Sydney right now. First there was Black Penny in Surry Hills and then PLAY Bar, both with an emphasis on hip hop and, well, all things urban. Now Redfern is getting in on the act with new bar, Hustle & Flow. Hip hop is the order of the day here, as the owners Tim and Lisette Duhig are promising to represent the four “r’s” — Rap, RNB, Redfern and Respect.
James Miller and James Wirth have certainly made another good move on the Sydney bar scene with this latest opening coming ‘on-line’ just as 2010 came to an end. A short walk from Central Station and within a stones throw of venues like the Sydney Football Stadium and the Belvoir St Theatre to name a couple, The Norfolk Hotel is providing Surry Hills with a great option for a night out.
